The mission of the Local 6001 Legacy Scholarship is to empower our union members and their families by providing financial support for educational advancement. Through this scholarship, we affirm our commitment to solidarity, advocacy, and lifelong learning,
fostering a stronger, more united community where every member has the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential. By investing in education, we strengthen our collective voice and
build a legacy of opportunity, empowerment, and union pride for generations to come.

Written Essay or Video Submission: Submit a written essay or video outlining your educational goals and explaining how the scholarship will enable you to contribute to your community and the union.
4.Recommendations: Provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher, union representative, or community leader.

Local 6001 Legacy Scholarship:
These criteria are designed to support the educational goals of our union members and their immediate families (spouse, domestic partner, children, grandchildren) while promoting fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity across our membership.
