TREASURER 

Debbie Amaro has been employed with American Airlines since 1989 and is Treasurer for CWA Local 6001.  Debbie has served on various committees including Election, Organizing, Membership, Mobilizing and as a Steward.  Debbie has also served on the Local, National and AFL-CIO as Delegate for Local 6001.  

She also is certified with Labor Assistance Professionals (LAP), Motivational Intervention and EAP Development.

SECRETARY

  
 Renee has been an activist since the organizing began at the DFW Reservation office which was an exciting time for the Passenger Service employees.  She began her career 38 years ago in BNA at the airport, worked in the City Ticket Offices in BNA and DFW, and has been in reservations since 2001. She has served on various   committees including the Women's Committee, Election Committee, and Political Action Committee. She has also served as a Local and National Delegate representing Local 6001. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and working in her flower gardens.  

DFW ATO AREA REP

 (AREA 1) 

Matt has Served as a steward for Local 6001 since late 2022. Matt first worked as a Fleet Service Clerk in 2020 before moving around through different work groups and airports before returning to DFW as a CAR in September 2021 and has been working through the ranks at DFW since. Matt now works as a CSC at DFW and is know for being "Tough on Management" and pointing out "Common Sense" mistakes to Management. Matt wishes to eventually work his way up in the company and make changes within the company to make American a place you want to work.

As a Texas native, I started my career in aviation as a customer service agent at DFW  in 2015. I’ve since held multiple positions within customer care. CWA is the first union organization I’ve been a part of but I know the importance of being United. I learned this from family and friends working at AT&T, GMC etc…. Before becoming a steward I would always be asked to be a peer witness because of the experience and knowledge I gained prior to joining AA. I'm excited to be a part of this group, making us stronger,  and knowledgeable of our rights as members.

I am honored to be the newly elected Area representative for MOKA", says Melinda Daniels. She earned a Masters degree in business management and a bachelors degree in community health. She has over 20 years experience in the transportation industry, working 4 of those years as a customer service agent with American Airlines. She said, " I'm committed to working with each and every member and look forward to continue making our union stronger than ever. We stand strong together!
